BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services), has taken a project for providing intensive training to one hundred (100) junior software programmers (mainly fresh graduates) in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in different technology tracks (Dot Net/Java/PHP).

The main objective of the training program is to prepare the fresh graduates or entry level programmers 'industry ready' at the shortest possible time. Here are the highlights of the program:

. Each batch will have a size of 30 . The training for each batch will be completed within one month. . The total training duration will be 150 hours per batch . 20 classes will be held; five (5) days a week and 6-8 hours a day . Training will be provided by experienced trainers with long industry experience . Performance and learning activities for each of the trainees will be assessed throughout the program and certificates with detail grades will be provided at the end of the program

Course Outline (for Dot Net Track)

. Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Fundamental . .NET Programming (C#, ASP.NET) . Test driven programming fundamentals with NUnit . Database fundamentals (MSSQL) . Understanding basic UML (component diagram, class diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram) . Software development methodology (Waterfall, Agile) . Software development tools (JIRA, SVN) . Software development best practices . Software quality control fundamentals . Communication, documentation and language skills . Work and professional ethics . Personal productivity improvement tools and practices

Expected Benefit from the Program

. Participants will be trained on real life issues, technology tools and methodologies that are very much relevant to software development . For freshers (who have just completed graduation or expected to graduate shortly), it is an excellent opportunity for 'software industry orientation' as very experienced software industry experts are going to conduct the program. Employability for the trainees are certainly going to increase as they will be equipped with lot of contemporary knowledge and skills required for the software industry . The certification provided after the training will be a valuable achievement for the successful participants as these will have acceptability among the local employers as well as foreign employers. . For trainees who will score high at the training program, BASIS will arrange for job interviews at BASIS member companies. A number of fresh graduates who have received training in the earlier batches of OOP program have already been recruited by BASIS member companies.

How to Apply for the Training?

The pre-requisite for the trainees are:
